Present perfect:
The present perfect refers to an action that happened some time before now.
I have been to Manizales.
We use the Present Perfect to say that an action happened at an unspecified time before now. The exact time is not important.
I have studied English.
The present perfect is often used for an action that started at some time in the past and is still continuing now.
He has lived in Canada for five years.
